Market Monitor was established in 1976 to provide market research and field marketing services to manufacturers, retailers, and advertising agencies.  This was accomplished by means of local representatives in the top 100+ markets, providing market planning and analysis, inventory counts, field audits, stock replenishment, interviews and opinion surveys, as well as promotional set-ups.

In 1983 Market Monitor developed a program of retail service evaluation and mystery shoppings.  It is from this experience that a separate division called Service Monitor was created.  In an age when products and pricing are virtually identical among competitors, we believe that service makes the difference in attracting and retaining customers, and building sales.

As a result, it is important to maintain the highest possible level of service.  In order to do so, Market Monitor gives you the ability to measure the effectiveness of your customer service from a customer's point of view.

All Market Monitor and Service Monitor projects are based upon standards and specifications developed with each individual client.  Reports are developed using sophisticated computerized studies.  Our Research Director analyzes the results, provides concise management summaries and helps the client establish an effective action plan.  As a more economical approach, some clients prefer a manual tabulation rather than a computer report.

A Focus Group is a marketing research technique that is widely used to help businesses obtain a deeper understanding of the perceptions, feelings, motivations and desires of customers, prospects, dealers and suppliers.  They are a well-accepted method of obtaining qualitative information related to opinions and attitudes.
