DEATH SCENES: A Homicide Detective's Scrapbook
Every once in a while something comes my way that
really blows my mind, and this book is one of them. Yes, my children, 'tis
a rare occasion when I offer something for sale in my catalogue that I don't
create and produce myself, but after first viewing this book I know I had
to have it for you Underground Aficionados.
This coffin table book is a colleclion of graphic
homicide crime scene photos from the 1930's and 90's as collected by L.A.P.D.
Homicide Detecive Jack Huddleston. Huddleston compiled all the photographs
complete with handwritten text in his personal scrapbook, which takes us
through a horrific journey through a bloody Hollywood and proves that "there
were no good oid days!" Let me warn you, this book ain't for everybody.
It's Hard Gore even by Underground Screen Prints' standards!
PLUS:
"Deviant"
by Harold Schechter (273 pp) The shocking true story of Ed Gein. You know,
the killer whose fiendish fantasies inspired the films "Psycho"
and "Texas Chainsaw Massacre."
"Deranged"
by Harold Schechter (not to be confused with the Ed Gein-based movie with
the same name) Albert Fish gets my vote as America's most fiendish killer!
